A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake shook southern Mexico Sunday morning, sending nervous residents of the capital into the road.
The USA Geological Survey mentioned the earthquake’s epicentre was 2 1/2 miles (4 kilometres) northwest of Corral Falso within the southern state of Guerrero. The world sits alongside Mexico’s Pacific coast between the seashore resorts of Acapulco and Zihuatenejo.
There have been no quick experiences of injury. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador mentioned by way of Twitter that civil protection was checking for injury.
Lopez Obrador later posted a video on Twitter of a dwell dialog with Guerrero Gov. Evelyn Salgado during which she mentioned there have been no experiences of damages or casualties.
Mexico Metropolis Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum mentioned there have been no experiences of incidents within the capital.
