A Lufthansa flight from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, Germany, made an unscheduled touchdown at Chicago’s O’Hare Worldwide Airport after a passenger’s laptop computer caught fireplace, the airline stated.
Monday evening’s touchdown at O’Hare was a precautionary step after an overheated laptop computer brought about a small fireplace within the passenger cabin, the airline stated.
The hearth was out by the point the airplane made a protected touchdown, WLS-TV reported.
Not one of the passengers had been injured, however two flight attendants had been handled for smoke inhalation following the “unscheduled touchdown,” Lufthansa stated in an announcement.
The airline stated its floor employees was serving to passengers get rebooked for flights to their last locations and stated it “regrets the inconvenience brought about to passengers.”
