A Halloween crowd surge killed about 153 folks in Itaewon district, a preferred nightlife space in Seoul on Saturday. It was the primary Halloween occasion in Seoul in three years to be nearly freed from COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing.
Emergency officers say the dying toll might rise.
